UK Standards

All items sold by Ashgrove Furnishings are fully compliant with UK Furniture Regulations and standards. All Foams, Fabrics and coverings are fire resistant and have been treated. All glass is tempered and toughened. We do not cut corners unlike many retailers we strive to bring you the best in quality and the highest standards available.

True Value for Money

Before buying Ashgrove Furnishings would like to make it absolutely clear that all items that we offer for sale are 100% brand new and in their original packaging. Ashgrove Furnishings do not sell ex catalogue or damaged items.

Colours and Shades

It is virtually impossible to accurately portray colours of wooden, fabric and leather furniture in pictures. Factors such as your monitor settings or a particular lighting used when taking marketing photographs can affect shading. Colours may vary slightly from batch to batch, therefore we cannot accept colour or shade differences as faults. As most of the items Ashgrove Furnishings sell are very much sought after the availability of our items is very limited. This not because we buy in small quantities but due to the volume we sell.

Unpacking

Please unpack all products carefully. Regrettably, self assembly items cannot be returned once assembly is part or fully completed, unless item is found to be faulty. We will examine the goods to determine whether the fault or damage occurred before or after delivery and the decision will be made at our discretion. Should you need to return unassembled products please repack in the original packaging.

Payment Instructions

All payment transactions are carried out by PayPal. Your payment details are not seen by us. Each transaction will generate a unique purchase order ID and can be tracked in the event of a dispute. On completion of successful payment you will receive a receipt from PayPal via email.

Delivery of Items

If an item is listed as ‘In stock’ it will usually be dispatched on an express service within 48 hours of making payment and be delivered to the buyer within the week of purchase (usually within 5 days). However please allow up to 21 days after payment for the product to be delivered as our drivers may not have a large enough consignment to deliver to a particular area (however this rarely happens). An item sold quoting ‘arriving in 4-6 weeks’ means that the item has not yet arrived in the UK and is currently being shipped. This usually includes time for customs clearance and delivery to our warehouse but unforeseen delays can occur therefore we advise that you allow 29 days from payment clearance for goods to be delivered to your Door. As soon as items arrive at our warehouse we endeavour to dispatch them within 24 hours. Please note that in most cases your goods will be delivered well in advance of the 29 days.

Delivery charges quoted as Selected part of the UK apply to Northern Ireland only and do not include Republic of Ireland or Mainland UK. Delivery to the Mainland UK and Republic of Ireland are subject to higher rates so please contact us before buying. If you require delivery to Republic of Ireland or Mainland UK please contact us before buying so that we can advise you on costs and time scale of delivery.

The delivery service we offer is to the curb. However the drivers are professional and friendly. Please note that our company and our drivers are not liable for any damage caused to you or your property when conducting deliveries. All items handled by you are at your own risk, if you feel you are unable to help the driver please don’t hesitate to tell the driver. We have provided clear measurements for all our items; therefore please ensure that you are able to fit the item through doors and into your home.

Please advise us of any days where you may not be available at home to take delivery so that we can avoid conducting delivery on these days. Upon payment it is vital that you leave a contact number in the PayPal window so that our drivers can reach you in the event of a delay or difficulty finding your address. Due to the nature of the goods (weight and size) and the unpredictable nature of home deliveries we advise that you be flexible and keep a clear day in your diary for receiving the goods. Due to the volume of items we sell Couriers / Hauliers have very busy schedules and deliveries may be conducted as early as 8am up till 6pm.

Damages

Please check all component parts for damages before the courier leaves. Damages must be noted on the couriers slip before he/she leaves. All damages must be reported to us via email strictly within 24 hours of delivery. Please send photographic evidence of all damages. Please note that if your item arrives faulty or damaged we will either offer a refund, repair or replace the item and we reserve the right to offer these solutions at our discretion.

Refunds & Returns

If you are unhappy with the product you are entitled to a refund providing that we are informed by email within 14 days of delivery. The costs of returning any goods must be covered by the buyer. Therefore the refund will be issued minus the cost of sending / returning the goods, and a 20% restocking charge will be applied to the items returned . All goods being returned must be returned to us as they were when delivered. The item must not have been used. If the item shows signs of use we reserve the right to not issue a refund. Respectfully we ask you not to purchase on our items if you do not fully agree to the terms and conditions stated above.

In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your product please contact Ashgrove Furnishings straight away. If your items are found faulty or not as described on our website on delivery please inform the Courier/Ashgrove Furnishings driver. Alternatively give us a call and will arrange pick up of the faulty item and we will replace the item.

If you are unsure about a purchase or change your mind please let our delivery personnel know on delivery. The items need to be in their original packaging. You have 10 days from delivery date to notify Ashgrove Furnishings if you want to return your product, however there will be a return charge deducted from your refund. The return charge is simply a pick up charge (Alternatively you can return the item to our warehouse in County Armagh yourself).  Please note mattresses once opened cannot be returned. Ashgrove Furnishings will not accept the products back if they have been used and are not in their original packaging. Refunds for return items will be credited to the card used for the original payment.  Once the goods have been returned to the warehouse and they have been inspected, a refund usually happens within 24hrs, but can take up to 3 days.
